#229 I Will Help You to Speak
Greetings Alien Youth. I hope all of you are in good health
and enjoying the rigors of actually going to school this week… During the free times you have to talk with
your friends, how often has the topic of God come up? I see a growing excitement
and bonding with God during our times together on Sundays and Wednesdays, which
it totally (in a high voice) AWE-SOME! But, does that excitement and
encouragement carry over to your friends at school?... Are the correct words hard to come up with
that you think will make an impact on who you are talking to? Is that the scariest
part?
When God came to Moses (Exodus 3: 4-10) and asked him to go
to Egypt (your school) to bring His people (your friends), the Israelites, out of
the bondage (Earthly trappings) they’ve been living in, Moses said to God,
(Exodus 3:11) “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh (your school) and bring the
Israelites (your friends) out of Egypt?” and God said in verse 12, “I will be
with you…”
Isn’t that comforting to know that God will be with you wherever
you are sent? But, what do you say? What are the best words to use to get God’s
message across?”
Moses, himself had self-doubt. In Exodus 4:10 Moses said to
the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in
the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and
tongue.” … Can you relate to the frustration Moses felt?... Listen to what God
says in verses 11-12 in response; The Lord said to him (You), “Who gave human
beings their mouths? Who makes the deaf or mute? Who gives them site or makes
them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help YOU speak and will teach
YOU what to say.”
When there is an opportunity to share God’s word with a friend,
get connected with God first by saying a prayer. Ask him to guide you and to use your voice for
His glory… and thank God for all that he has given you. God provided and will
provide all you need.
Papa John 1:15:15
